Dr Yi Wei Goh is an Ophthalmologist that subspecialises in Cataract, Cornea/Anterior Segment and Oculoplastics.

Dr. Goh is a distinguished ophthalmologist with a rich and diverse background. She graduated with a medical degree from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, United Kingdom. Subsequently, she relocated to New Zealand, where she completed Ophthalmology specialist training. Dr Goh pursued fellowships in Cornea/Anterior Segment and Oculoplastics in Manchester, United Kingdom and Auckland, New Zealand.

She has published peer-reviewed papers in both national and international journals, and has been a speaker at various conferences held nationally and internationally.


Work Activities

Dr. Goh is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Manukau Super Clinic and Waitakere Hospital in Auckland. Alongside her clinical expertise, she is deeply committed to education, mentoring and training registrars and medical students, helping to cultivate the next generation of ophthalmologists.

Personal life

In her earlier years, Dr. Goh was a highly accomplished international rhythmic gymnast, earning over 100 medals during her remarkable seven-year career representing her country. She competed in national and international events, including the 2001 Southeast Asian Games, where she won four gold medals, one of which was for the highest individual score.

In recent times, she has taken up Taekwondo and attained success in the sport, claiming gold medals in her division at both the New Zealand Regional and National Championships in 2022.

Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Goh values spending quality time with her family.
